The Susan Sheehan Podcast
A place for women to share and hear each others stories of transformation, transition, triumphing through life's challenges and soaring through the miracles and joy of life.
You will hear real women from around the world inspiring us with different ways of approaching all that life throws at us, learning ways to support ourselves and to be there for each other.

Penny Moyses
ep54. Menopause - Less Fear Spreading & More Pausing Please!
I welcomed Penny Moyses to our community of women this week . Penny shared with us the pivot she made post covid in how she was mothering her first child. She challenges the definition of balance, and what that means every day, how she lives and works cyclically not in the linear fashion that society is mainly built on but in a way that works for her children, herself and her business.
We talked about indecision (where I had a breakthrough!) and how much energy that takes up, about getting to know yourself, celebrating yourself and knowing when enough is enough.
I loved this conversation and as you will hear from Penny she is very open and curious so if you want to reach out to her about any of this please do. All are welcome to her event Home Life & You in October London, UK.

ep53. Menopause - Less Fear Spreading & More Pausing Please!
The current conversation about menopause is lopsided. While it’s great it is finally getting air time and we are all getting more information about it - there is too much fear around it. For the women that are entering or in this time please listen to this weeks episode and choose for yourself how your want your journey to be.
It isn’t all symptoms and doom and gloom. Far from it, it offers so much more this time of pause, change, transformation, being the wise woman and so much more. Let's face it with a gentleness, an openness and see what happens. Nothing is 100% predetermined. You have a choice how you wish to go through it.

ep51. Managing Rheumatoid Arthritis, Holistic Health & The Heart Of Community
Rosemarie Bennis joins us this week to talk about living and managing rheumatoid arthritis. Rosemarie has a lightness and playfulness about her while also being candid about how rheumatoid shows up in her life every day.
We talk about how difficult it was to accept RA especially being deeply embedded in holistic health and all things natural. We explored cold water therapy, asking for help, pilates, healthy eating and more.
This is a conversation about chronic illness, connection, and showing up anyway. Community as you will hear is at the centre of her life and she is at the centre of her community. I was also intrigued as to how she set up her thriving business and community.
Rosemarie is a mother, deeply involved in the community and the owner of a Sonas Health shop a community health shop, which is a gift to the local area.

ep31. The Root Causes Of Disease (Part II)
One of the key causes of dis-ease is our emotions and our ability to express and release them. When they get stuck, fester or are stuffed down we create pain, illness and recurring symptoms.
We know this but often life gets so frantic or it is too scary to slow down and face them. In this week episode I talk about this, how we need to normalise correlating our physical health with speaking and expressing how we are feeling.
I referred to Louise Hay and her work and book You Can Heal Your Life.
